Inferno (2016) Thrilling but repetitive

Inferno (2016) is the movie adaptation of the Dan Brown novel of the same name. Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) wakes up in a hospital, with severe memory loss. He soon realizes he is in Florence, Italy. Langdon takes the help of Dr. Sienna Brooks(Felicity Jones), to stop a catastrophe that might put an end to the world as we know it. However, Langdon must first regain his memory, to help uncover the clues.
Inferno is a brilliant film. Director Ron Howard, has successfully adapted another Dan Brown novel for the big screen. In my opinion though, I liked Angels & Demons(2009) better. That movie had major twists & turns, right up to the climax. This film is as fast-paced & thrilling as its predecessor but, it loses its suspense factor, when there's still 45 minutes to go. Also, the chase sequences get a tad bit monotonous, after a while. No need to fret though. They are still enjoyable. The cinematography by Salvatore Totino is the highlight of the movie. Tom Hanks is spectacular as usual, as Robert Langdon. Hanks portrays Langdon's vulnerability, in this installment. Felicity Jones is outstanding as Dr. Sienna Brooks. Irrfan Khan is awesome as Harry Sims 'The Provost'. Ben Foster is superb as Bertrand Zobrist. Sidse Babett Knudsen is amazing as Dr. Elizabeth Sinskey. Omar Sy is great as Christoph Bruder. Ana Ularu is good as Vayentha. Inferno is a must watch for all Tom Hanks & Ron Howard fans. Thoroughly enjoy this edge of the seat entertainer, everyone!
